The Lemmings universe is expanding and bringing with it exciting new traps, instructions and features as part of the biggest refresh yet for the Britsoft classic game on mobile.
The massive Big Bang 7.1 update is now available globally across iOS and Android devices, with Lemmings developer and publisher Exient incorporating many feature requests from the game’s huge community of players.
The exciting new features in Lemmings complement the game’s existing and ongoing monthly Season DLC drops, and include gameplay, rewards and tournament delights such as:-
Dynamite Instruction – Use Dynamite to destroy blocks with ease and blow things up from a safe distance by dropping Dynamite down a hole! Made a mess? There’s nothing Dynamite can’t fix.
Explosive Block Trap – There’s now even more bang for your buck: Introducing the Explosive Block, Dynamite’s devious cousin. Think that explosion in the distance looks harmless? Think again!
XP Rewards Claim Buttons – The choice is now in your hands! Choose when to claim your XP rewards, no more wasted energy!
Improved Reward Rocket – There’s now a ‘claim’ button as part of the Reward Rocket. Any unclaimed rewards will be received the next day, so don’t worry about them disappearing!
Tournaments Revamp – The Tournaments feature has been given a new lick of paint, so it’s a great time to hop in and start competing!
Social Media Buttons – There are now links to Lemmings social channels in the settings menu. The Lemmings team will be sharing sneak peeks of future updates, so make sure to join them there!
Free-to-play Lemmings was first developed and released for mobile by UK and Malta-based Exient in 2018, supported by 60 seasons of monthly DLC to date.
The Lemmings name is part of the Britsoft establishment and celebrated its 30th birthday in 2021. Originally developed by DMA Design in Dundee, it was first published for the Commodore Amiga by Liverpool-based Psygnosis on February 14th 1991 and has made its way to many other platforms since, including Sony’s PlayStation and, most recently, mobile.
