Iron Curtain Call, a cartoon noir FPS about World War III, has a free demo on Steam ahead of its 11 March 2027 release

Whale Development Studios has released a free demo of Iron Curtain Call, a fast paced first person shooter set in an absurd alternate 1965, where humanity has run out of soldiers and World War III is run by a customer service AI. The demo is the game's first mission, Welcome to Rubbleton, and takes about 15 to 20 minutes. The full game, twelve chapters and twelve bosses, comes to Steam on 11 March 2027.
Players are Corporal Punishment, a silent soldier and the only one Allied Command could afford to send, with Colonel Panic on the radio and the Supreme Chancellor on every loudspeaker. Combat rewards aggression. Punching robots restores health, prying them open with the Can Opener gives ammunition and setting them on fire with the Hot Take feeds armor, while double jumps, air dashes, a grappling hook and parries keep the fight moving.
Each chapter takes aim at a different terrible idea, from a television game show and a carnival election to a world's fair where both armies buy from the same supplier and a homeowners' association on the Moon. The arsenal has terrible manners, with a shotgun called the Diplomat, a submachine gun called the Typewriter, a rocket launcher called the Care Package, a rotary telephone called the Party Line and a cash register called the Lobbyist.
Made in Godot 4.7, the game has close to 3,000 voiced lines in English, with the interface and subtitles also in Spanish, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Hindi and Turkish, and Japanese planned for the full game. The voices, some of the art and a few music cues were made with AI tools; the Steam page and the game's credits say so.
