Shanghai, China - On JAN 15, 2021, global interactive entertainment developer and publisher miHoYo announces Honkai Impact 3rd is releasing the version collaborating with Neon Genesis Evangelion on JAN 22, 2021. Players will be able to unlock the collaboration-exclusive battlesuit [Blazing Hope] and explore a Honkai world reimagined in Neon Genesis Evangelion's style.

Since late 2019, Honkai Impact 3rd has been made playable on PC with cross-platform play support everywhere, drawing more players to the acclaimed experience. Honkai Impact 3rd is set in a modern world corrupted by mysterious energy known as [Honkai]. The multimedia Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise originated in the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion that first aired in 1995 and developed into a social phenomenon. The screening of the animated film series starting 2007 extended Evangelion's reach to the younger generation, becoming a sensation continued by Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, and Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. The long-anticipated sequel Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time will premiere in Japan in the near future.
[New Century], the main event of the collaboration, will be available after the update. Beginning with [Mei] setting foot in [Nagazora], it tells the story of girls putting an end to the invasion of [Angels]. The 4th Angel, 6th Angel, and 8th Angel will appear as enemies and the iconic scenes from Neon Genesis Evangelion will be recreated with the latest technology. By playing relevant activities, players can obtain SP battlesuit [Blazing Hope], the commemorative stigma of Misato, exclusive outfits, Crystals, and Supply Cards.
Asuka's SP battlesuit [Blazing Hope] exclusive to this collaboration is one of its major attractions. [Blazing Hope] is a BIO melee Physical DMG dealer that can deal massive DMG with Charged ATK by building up Field Energy. Her Ultimate boosts her DMG output and its Finisher summons a gigantic lance to strike down enemies for lethal AOE Physical DMG. Honkai Impact 3rd specially invited Asuka's voice actress Yuko Miyamura to play her, who has rarely appeared in games. Additionally, weapon [Lance of Longinus] and stigma set [Children] exclusive to the collaboration will join the update.
The version collaborating with Neon Genesis Evangelion will be released for iOS, Android, and Windows on JAN 22, 2021. More info will be made public in the near future.
