GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN – December 20, 2019 – Hiber AB today announced two major new features have been added to the growing social game creation platform, HiberWorld. Play with Friends mode and Avatar Outfits are now live and available for everyone to use.
“We are continually adding features that expand the creative options for our users and make the platform more fun and engaging for everyone,” said Johan Wingård, Director of User Experience at Hiber AB. “The community has been asking for multiplayer since we first launched our beta, and Play with Friends is the first step in delivering on our multiplayer vision over the coming months. We have an ongoing dialogue with our community and will take all their feedback into account for the coming iterations of multiplayer. Ultimately, we’re excited to see what the community will come up with as they find new ways to create and play in HiberWorld.”
Play with Friends Mode is the first multiplayer feature on the platform, allowing friends to invite each other to their games and play in the same space. Now everyone can show off their games, explore secret spaces, and even guide others to reach hard to find goals within their games. Players simply start a multiplayer session and an invitation link can be copied and shared. Friends that are hosting multiplayer games can be joined easily, simply by selecting their game session and tapping “join”.
Avatar Outfits adds personalization elements to the platform by allowing players to choose from multiple HiberWorld outfits to express their personality and mood. Currently, there are free limited-edition holiday gnomes for everyone that logs in and plays or creates on the platform through January 15th. Additional outfits can be unlocked for accomplishing certain achievements.
Additionally, anyone who played or created on the platform during the company’s St. Patrick’s Day 2019 Event, or Halloween 2019 Event, will receive the outfits that were available to play with during those events. Additional avatar outfits will roll out over the coming months, initially as challenges for players and creators that visit HiberWorld on a regular basis.
