Frostisen Studio today released Eydigard, a historical fantasy RPG set in Northern Norway, into Early Access on Steam.
Eydigard is a third-person RPG where players take the role of a shapeshifter, exploring a haunted fjord recovering from the Black Death. As plague and darkness linger in the abandoned farmlands, players must uncover forgotten stories, cleanse cursed farmsteads, and navigate the fragile politics of local clans fighting for survival.
The game is inspired by Norwegian and Sámi folklore and built around exploration, shapeshifting combat, and a handcrafted world shaped by history and myth.
"Eydigard is a game about nature, survival, and the slow return of life after disaster," said Jostein Forselv, founder of Frostisen Studio. "We’ve built a world we hope feels rooted in history, but haunted by something older."

Eydigard will continue to expand throughout Early Access, with new regions, quests, creatures, and gameplay systems planned for future updates.
