What if a simple update could erase everything that makes you human?

Gran Canaria, June 4, 2025 – Wildspell Games, an independent studio dedicated to the development of video games and interactive storytelling, presents its new project: The Update, available on itch.io.
The Update is a science fiction narrative experience set in the year 2104, where humanity has surpassed its biological limits through brain implants and neural operating systems. A massive update from the corporation Teragen Biomedics has caused a critical failure: human emotions have been deactivated. The player must hack the system to restore them and save humanity from a future without feelings.
This title was developed for the Rayuela de Arena 2025 Jam, an annual event focused on narrative and interactive fiction in Spanish that promotes content creation and collaboration between emerging and established creators.
The Update is now available to download and play on itch.io. Additionally, Wildspell Games will be present at the Gaming Experience Gran Canaria (GXGC) from June 13 to 15, where they will also showcase their main project, Choose Cthulhu Files: The Call of Cthulhu.
