Wild Sheep Studio unveils a new chapter with an original game inspired by local wildlife

Montpellier, France – Wild Sheep Studio, the independent game studio that co-developed 2024’s award-winning Maestro VR, is creating a new original IP with its upcoming title Adorable Adventures, a game inspired by the untamed beauty of southern France.

Founded in 2013, Wild Sheep Studio is a twelve-person team based in Montpellier. The studio was originally recognized for its ambitious PlayStation-exclusive project Wild. Following its cancellation, Wild Sheep Studio restructured and is now led by co-founder Céline Tellier, an industry veteran with 28 years of experience who serves as both CEO and Art Director.

In 2024, the studio’s rebrand garnered over 89,000 views on YouTube, signaling a new, exciting direction for the studio. That same year, Wild Sheep Studio completed co-development on Maestro, the critically acclaimed VR rhythm game which was honored as Meta’s App of the Year.

The team’s upcoming release, Adorable Adventures, draws deeply from its environment. Inspired by the nearby Cévennes National Park, the game takes cues from real-world encounters with local wildlife, most notably a memorable collaboration with animal rescue organizations and close-up experiences with playful baby boars.

“We fell in love with their rebellious spirit,” says Tellier. “They’re curious, energetic, and totally unlike anything we’d seen before in games. We knew we had to celebrate that somehow.”

With a focus on creating games filled with positivity, memorable characters and believable worlds, Wild Sheep Studio is all-in to build a new original game.
