TOKYO, Japan - September 9, 2025 - Thirdverse, Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo; CEO: Masaru Ohnogi”) today announced the upcoming Closed Beta Test (CBT) for the groundbreaking social VR game “Hello Kitty Skyland,” where players can experience new adventures and make friends with beloved Sanrio characters.
◆ Closed Beta Test Overview
- Testing Schedule: Scheduled for late-September 2025 (exact dates will be announced on the Discord testers’ channel)
- Supported Devices: Meta Quest 2, 3, 3S
- Number of Testers: Up to 500
- How to Apply: Register via the official Discord (application form link available there)
Note: If applications exceed capacity, participants will be selected by lottery. All selected testers will be contacted by email.

In this Closed Beta Test, players will have the opportunity to try out the core multiplayer mechanics and game loops in “Hello Kitty Skyland” ahead of launch. Feedback gathered via surveys and Discord will be used to further refine the UX, controls, and gameplay experience.

Hello Kitty Skyland is an innovative social VR game set in a virtual world called “SKYLAND,” where Sanrio characters live. Players from around the world can gather to enjoy a variety of activities and interactions unlike anything seen before in Hello Kitty games. In addition to immersive encounters with Sanrio characters in VR, the game offers multiplayer experiences that make full use of your hand controls, as well as features such as item crafting and customization of both your personal space and avatar, delivering the unique appeal of VR. Through extensive customization, cooperation, and competition, players can enjoy a truly diverse range of experiences.
