Strange Scaffold Launches Versus Mode for Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking

Race rival monks to be the first to feed your kaiju in the competitive update to the chaotic medieval cooking game

El Paso, TX – September 30, 2025 – Award-winning game studio Strange Scaffold and publisher Frosty Pop today launch Versus Mode for the medieval monk multiplayer romp Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking. The free update is available to download now on Steam for PC.

Versus Mode adds a competitive twist to the otherwise cooperative experience of Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking. Players split into rival teams, each racing to satisfy their own kaiju’s ravenous hunger first. Players explore the larder at their own risk, scavenging resources quicker than their opponents. Clever players can also strategize with their allies and terrorize the other team to win the feeding frenzy.

First released in July, Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking is a chaotic multiplayer game where players catapult improvised meals into the maws of rampaging monsters to prevent the apocalypse. The absurdist horror game has players take on the role of medieval monks — the only chefs who can prevent the apocalypse. Feed enormous monsters with a catapult, evade supernatural enemies, and navigate a reality-bending labyrinth with up to four players (or more, if you want to risk your computers/sanity) before time runs out.

Last month, Strange Scaffold launched Endless Mode for Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking, where players score as many points as possible and enter larder levels at random, feeding monsters catapult-style and avoiding large rats and monsters.
Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking is available on Steam for $7.99. For more information, follow Strange Scaffold on X and BlueSky.
