ABOUT SPLIT
Split grew within and around the walls of the 1,700-year-old Diocletian’s Palace, blending Roman history with the energy of a lively Adriatic seaside city. Playful, full of character and a little bit wild, it’s a fun place to get lost in, discovering cafés, restaurants and hidden corners along its old streets. Its appeal beyond peak summer has also earned recognition: Condé Nast Traveller recently highlighted Split as the top shoulder-season destination for 2026. With pleasant spring weather in April, the sea, beaches and nearby islands, Split offers a memorable setting for SPLITSCREEN’s international games industry gathering.
