Heute hat SEGA das Update „Der letzte Horizont“ für PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, die Nintendo Switch™-Systeme und Steam veröffentlicht. Das Inhaltsupdate ist das dritte kostenlose Update für Sonic Frontiers, bei dem Spieler die Möglichkeit haben, neue Story-Inhalte und Herausforderungen als Amy, Knuckles und Tails zu spielen.
Die zusätzliche Story spielt vor dem finalen Kampf auf Ouranos Island, als Sage ein unwahrscheinliches Szenario unter ihren Millionen Berechnungen überdenkt. Mit der Hilfe von Sage und Dr. Eggman bringt Sonic einen neuen Plan ins Rollen und akzeptiert die Herausforderung, die Cyber-Korruption in eine bisher unerschlossene Energiequelle umzuwandeln. Währenddessen wollen Amy, Knuckles und Tails helfen und suchen für Sonic nach den Chaos Emeralds, um ihr Schicksal zu ändern.
