‘Pigeon: A Love Story’, the experimental ‘slow game’ by indie studio Wristwork, has today (01/03/2021) become available for iOS and Android devices.
In the game, you take on the role of a pigeon searching for their pigeon-shaped soulmate in the city of London (UK), which is presented in real-size and is fully explorable. To keep the game as accurate (and difficult) as possible, the city is home to over 1,000,000 NPC pigeons.
Lying somewhere between a video game and 'needle in the haystack' simulator, this minimalist (and potentially, arguably, sort of mediative) hardcore casual game uses Google's Maps SDK for Unit to showcase 3D models and place names of key landmarks.
