Norwich, UK — 14/09/2026 — The Games Shed today announced Primal Reign: The Age of New Kings,play though a 2-3 hour cinematic VR action-adventure where Ronnie & Harriet are following a trail of ancient gold, delve deep into newly discovered Ancient Egyptian tunnels and tombs solving puzzles and fighting mummies, soldiers and dinosaurs.
Set in Egypt 1942, descend into the tombs and winding tunnels of Ancient Egypt, Ron & Harriet work together searching for hidden clues to recurring gold that props up in each of earth's ancient civilizations, what was meant to be a visit to an archaeological dig turns into a crime scene where teeth and claws have ripped through the desert.
What begins as a short explosive intro quickly pulls players into the claustrophobic descent of madness. Ancient markings hint at mysterious knowledge, the air tightens and the mummified corpses begin to stir. Mummies rise as hostile guardians, driven by a deeper force awakening beneath the ruins; turning exploration into an often-creepy exchange of teeth, screams and gun-flashes.
“Primal Reign has been a long journey of solo development for nearly 5 years in spare time,” said Graham Jones, Director at The Games Shed. “This full early access release is an amazing achievement, I’ve always wanted to amalgamate some of my favourite movies into my own wacky game, where The Mummy meets Jurassic Park with some time travel thrown in for good measure.”
Assist the SAS in open combat with axis troops before solving puzzles in large tombs filled with water, disappear in the atmospheric biomes of tomb exploration as you indulge in the relaxing sounds of waterfalls-birds and nature at its finest, before falling deep inside tombs that throw prehistoric scorpions and tiny critters with sharp teeth; climb around huge cavernous drops above spike pits and navigate in the dark dodging large swinging axe booby-traps.
