Strasbourg, France - March 11, 2026 - Following its commercial success and "Very Positive" reception on Steam, French independent developer Embers is thrilled to announce that the underwater co-op horror sensation, Murky Divers, is officially heading to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on June 30, 2026.
After captivating PC players with its unique blend of comedy horror and thalassophobia, Murky Divers is expanding its reach to the console community. To ensure no diver is left behind in the abyss, the game will feature full cross-play support, allowing crews of up to 8 players to collaborate (or collide) across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms seamlessly.
Murky Divers first made waves with a viral Early Access launch in June 2024, quickly becoming a staple for streamers and co-op fans alike. The studio maintained this momentum with a steady stream of community-driven content updates, culminating in its highly anticipated 1.0 release in June 2025. Console players will be able to experience the definitive version of the game, complete with all the expedition sites, items, and lurking horrors added to date.
In addition to the digital release, Embers has partnered with Maximum Entertainment to produce a physical retail edition of Murky Divers for PlayStation 5. Pre-orders for the PharmaCorps. Edition will start to go live over the coming days at participating retailers across North America, Europe and Australia.
In Murky Divers, players are "contracted" by Pharma Corps. to dive into abandoned underwater facilities and erase all evidence of failed experiments.
