The Case of Andrew D. is a forthcoming indie detective game centered on a small private investigation firm tackling various client cases. Your role involves assisting team members by applying Digital Forensics and OSINT techniques to uncover vital evidence. Building upon concepts introduced in our previous title, The USB Stick Found in the Grass, your mission is to maximize information extraction from limited data sources, whether from real files or online resources. You will access the company's remote server, review reports submitted by your colleagues, and download files collected by private investigators or sent by clients. After downloading, you'll scrutinize these files with your forensic expertise and available tools — or choose to install new ones. This includes unzipping password-protected archives, identifying key landmarks, and uncovering hidden clues within documents — all to share critical findings with your team. The insights you gather will drive the investigation forward and help reveal the story behind the case through both explicit details in the files and subtle hints embedded within the data.
