Heartfelt Pixel Adventure, A Space for the Unbound, Faces the End of the World Today

Melancholic yet uplifting adventure from publisher of Coffee Talk series out now

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

VANCOUVER, Canada — January 19, 2022 — A Space for the Unbound, the heartwarming slice-of-life adventure featuring a boy and girl with supernatural powers from developer Mojiken Studio and publishers Toge Productions and Chorus Worldwide, arrives today on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch for $19.99/€19.99/£17.99.

Set in rural Indonesia in the 1990s, A Space for the Unbound’s interactive narrative embraces magical realism as the townsfolk face their innermost struggles. Starring Atma and Raya, two high school sweethearts bound by their teeming creativity, the duo embarks on a journey to uplift those around them as the threat of a comet collision looms in the distance.

Despite the alluring pixel environments and vibrant retro aesthetic, juxtaposing melancholy themes of depression and anxiety permeate. A magical red book grants two protagonists the ability to dive into the consciousness of others to rid them of the unsettling sensations plaguing their daily lives and grim predicaments. Every resident has a story to tell, yearning to quell their stirring emotions and once again feel at ease.

The threat of cosmic disaster creates a collective feeling of despair spreading across this humble community. Guided by their newfound supernatural powers, the central figures of this poignant tale navigate the hardships of others in order to help heal the world around them. Join Atma and Raya on A Space for the Unbound’s tale of self-discovery, and confront the most overwhelming obstacles of everyday life.

“We are proud to highlight a beautiful place such as Indonesia and bring this tale to life,” said Dimas Novan, Creator of A Space for the Unbound at Mojiken Studio. “The passion we feel for our communities and creating a story that resonates is seen all throughout this melancholy yet ultimately uplifting adventure.”

A Space for the Unbound is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox, and PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store for $19.99/€19.99/£17.99 with support for English, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
