G-bits Game Development Contest 2025 launches internationally

Travel to China: Network with Developers and Expand Your Horizons!

G-bits Games, a renowned game company listed in China, is excited to announce the G-bits game development contest 2025, running from March 3 to July 22.This event opens doors to an exciting international platform for game developers.


This contest aims to support start-up student game developers, who are currently enrolled in higher education academies regardless of their level (foundation, undergraduate, masters, and doctorate students in vocational school, college and university are eligible). It therefore requires contestants to provide their enrollment information for qualification.


This contest gathers one of the largest groups of game developers from Chinese universities, and the final winners will be selected from both the itch.io group and across China.


Participants can choose to join as an individual or with a team, with a maximum number of 5 members.The event is divided into two thrilling stages:


Preliminaries: From March 3rd 2025 at 12:00 AM to May 15th 2025 at 4:00 PM

Open-ended, visit 【https://itch.io/jam/g-bits-game-jam-17000-prize-pool-game-development-china-tour】  submit your game. The top 10 teams will be invited to China for the final.

Finals: Final Round: From July 17th 2025 to July 22nd

A six-day, five-night game development trip to China with all accommodation and meals fully covered, chat F2F with famous Chinese game producers, and develop a game in 48 hours.

*All-inclusive China tour, maximum travel reimbursement of $700 USD.


It is noteworthy that in the 7th edition of the comtest, G-bits has invited seven renowned game producers to serve as special guests.

These include:

He Bin, producer of "Lost Castle"
Kat, co-producer of "Dyson Sphere Program"
Zhang San, producer of "Tale of Immortal"
Li Zi, producer of "Warm Snow"
Chen Zhen, co-producer of "Murders on the Yangtze River"
Jiang Lei, producer of "BlazBlue Entropy Effect"
Luo Xiangyu, producer of "Showa American Story"

They will not only serve as judges but also attend the finals to playtest the games and share their game development experiences.
