EA SPORTS FC 26 UNVEILS SPECIAL-EDITION MANCHESTER CITY KIT WITH PUMA, FEATURING NFC TECHNOLOGY - SET TO DEBUT ON PITCH OCTOBER 21

15 October 2025 – Today, EA SPORTS FC™, in collaboration with global sports brand PUMA and long-standing partner Manchester City FC, has announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind football kit and lifestyle collection for fans inspired by EA SPORTS FC™.

The special-edition Manchester City first team football kit has been designed to bridge the digital and physical worlds of football fandom and features a custom NFC chip embedded directly into the shirt’s famous club crest.

By tapping a smartphone to the crest, fans can unlock exclusive digital experiences and in-game rewards in EA SPORTS FC™ 26, along with surprises from both Manchester City and PUMA, turning the kit into an interactive gateway to deepen the connection between club and community.

The Manchester City men’s first team will wear the kit in select UEFA Champions League away fixtures, starting against Villarreal on 21st October, while the women’s team will debut the shirt in select domestic matches throughout the season.

At the heart of this innovation is EA SPORTS FC’s commitment to redefining how fans engage with the game. Driven by this year’s EA SPORTS FC mantra, “The Club is Yours” the three brands united to design a collection that champions the EA SPORTS FC™ identity while reflecting City’s fast flowing, attacking football.

The core design features a striking triangle graphic that reflects EA SPORTS FC's signature aesthetic, inspired by its role as the dominant shape in football tactics, and now serving as the hero motif across the game's logo and visual identity. Influenced by the passing patterns and set plays that define the rhythm of football, the EA SPORTS FC triangle has become an iconic visual within culture in and out of the game, recognised as a distinctive shape that's been an integral part of the gameplay since its inception. The triangle is visible within turquoise and metallic shapes against a dark forest green base, providing a bold yet visually authentic link back to the game's branding.

The look is completed by a light green crew-neck collar, a metallic PUMA cat, and the NFC chip prominently embedded at the heart of the metallic Manchester City crest.

“Football shirts hold a special place in the game - they’re symbols of identity, pride and belonging. That same spirit is at the heart of EA SPORTS FC 26, with significant importance on our community. That’s why we’re honoured to collaborate with Manchester City and PUMA on a kit design that respects tradition whilst opening up new ways to connect with football.” said James Taylor, Director of Football Partnerships at EA SPORTS FC.

“The new kit isn’t just something fans wear - it’s designed to come to life on and off the pitch, letting supporters engage with Manchester City in completely new, immersive and interactive ways.

We're excited for fans to experience it, unlock rewards, and see how it deepens their connection to the club physically and virtually."

Speaking on the collaboration, Manchester City Women’s goalkeeper Khiara Keating said:

“I think FC has brought it to life really well, it feels really unique. You can especially see it in the game, like all the triangles. It's different, but in a really cool way.

“It's a limited edition and then being able to wear it in-game as well makes it even better. It’s not just a purchase, they can see it on the game as well.”

Oscar Bobb added: ” Fans, especially younger fans, will really enjoy it. Almost all football fans play EA SPORTS FC, and I've played it before.

“I used to play it a lot when I was younger, and a detail like this would be very cool to have.”
