Irvine, California – June 21, 2023 Joycity is kicking off this summer with a new addition to its ever growing and diverse lineup of eclectic characters.
The brand-new character Jessie is a small forward oozing with charming traits. With the new update, the 3on3 FreeStyle storyline will open out with Jessie. Her history with Rebecca and Fei will come to light and will be the focal point of a driving, fresh narrative.
Jessie specializes in mid-range shot and 3-point shot defense. With these decisive, active, and passive skills, she can utilize her strength to pack an integral on-court role. The ‘Drift Pass’ allows her to jump, juke and pivot to control and pass the ball to an open teammate. Her ‘Behind Back Two-Step’ lets her quickly jump to an empty space near a defender and create an open score chance. That said, Jessie’s passive skills are not to be dismissed. When Jessie fires off mid-range shots, she gets a mid-range shot defense resist buff. If she scores with a mid-range shot, the opponents' 3-point shot success rates are briefly reduced. These two passive skills enable her to gain access to mid-range shot attempts easier than others and cause her opponents to scramble to close the score gap potential.
Jessie’s Intensive Prestige is also being included in the update. She can select one of 3 Intensive Skills which can enhance her shooting ability.
With Jessie’s arrival, she brings an assortment of events for players to take advantage of. The vacation-themed Battle Pass summer season will be in full effect until July 11th. The Stat Boost event gives players a chance to earn various upgrade items for their selected character. With Jessie, exclusive missions and premium rewards will be unlocked during the event.
