Intrepid Studios has introduced a major new playable biome to Ashes of Creation’s Alpha Two: Jundark is a dense and dangerous jungle region. This newly released area features updated enemies, lore-rich pocket dungeons, and an array of environmental storytelling that adds depth to the world’s unfolding history.

On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, Intrepid Studios hosted the latest Ashes of Creation Development Update livestream, highlighting newly added Alpha Two content in the Turquoise Sea and Jundark, and offering a sneak peek at the upcoming region known as The Anvils.
The Anvils stand as Alpha Two's second starting area and the ancient homeland of the Dünzenkell, dwarven artisans whose civilization thrived within the heart of a towering mountain range. Here, where molten forge meets unyielding stone, centuries of craftsmanship have shaped both kingdom and culture. But tread carefully adventurer, for deep within the mountain stirs an awakening menace, its roots entwined with forbidden secrets and long-forgotten darkness.

Phase II of Ashes of Creation’s Alpha Two has been extended through August 4, 2025, allowing the team to continue refining key systems ahead of Phase III. Current development efforts include the implementation of dynamic gridding for improved performance, the addition of a second starting area in The Anvils, a full transition to Unreal Engine 5.5, updates to questing and the first-time user experience. Work also continues on server performance improvements alongside stat and economy balancing. The upcoming launch of Phase III will introduce the Py’rai, Ren’Kai, and Niküan races, along with the final Primary Archetype, the Summoner. Testing remains active five or more days per week through August 4.
