NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK - July 17, 2026 - Following final system preparations, Subway Builder will be live and available on Steam at 1 pm Eastern Time.

Developed by Borough Studio, Subway Builder is a hyperrealistic transit simulation where players design, construct, and optimize subway systems using authentic demographic, geographic, and transportation data.

Launching today for $39.99 USD, Subway Builder is available at a 25% introductory discount for the first two weeks, bringing the launch price to $29.99 USD. The game is available in every language enabled by Steam and regional prices have been set according to Steam standards.

At launch, players can build subway networks across more than thirty cities throughout the United States and United Kingdom, including the newly added Los Angeles map.

"This is software city planners a decade ago would have dreamed of, running on your home computer for $40," said EJ Fox, co-developer of Subway Builder. "It's a lever to show people what is and isn't possible, and to lift up the feasibility of public transit across the world."

“also i moved to nyc to build this game i hope u like it,” added Alex Wohlbruck, another co-developer of Subway Builder.

Subway Builder is also currently available directly through SubwayBuilder.com and players are welcome to join the existing Discord with over 10k other transit enthusiasts here.

The Subway Builder team thanks you for your continued interest and will continue striving toward peak network performance.
