PARIS (Sept. 23, 2025) – Sloclap’s first major update for online action footballer Rematch is now live across PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, introducing the much-requested 3v3 ranked game mode, new cosmetics, new customizations and the long-awaited addition of crossplay. Fans can now play with friends no matter what platform they prefer (https://www.playrematch.com).

Season 1 also launches with fixes and balancing to player locomotion, improving reactivity and precision, while nerfing certain exploits such as the infamous “Ippy Slide”. Goalkeeper dives have been reworked to make them more effective against volleys. Skill-based matchmaking parameters are now stricter, especially in ranked matches, ensuring more evenly matched teams.
In October, the next patch will introduce two major changes to the ranked system: league demotion and dynamic rank points, both designed to ensure that league placement more accurately reflects each player’s current level. Later in Chapter 3, a brand-new game mode will also be introduced—stay tuned for more details.
Looking further ahead, the team is hard at work on future updates including a 1v1 game mode, planned for Season 2. Additional features in development include a clubs system, tournament systems, World Cup-themed events and more making 2026 a big year for Rematch. Throughout all future updates, the team will continue to prioritize core gameplay and netcode improvements to keep increasing both the depth and fairness of the competitive experience.

Alongside Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation and Steam, Rematch will also be available on Epic Games Store for the launch of Season 1, and a physical edition will be released in November 2025 for all platforms.
