Psychological Horror Game Tormenture Unleashes Its Biggest Update Yet, Featuring 300% Performance Boost — Now 25% Off on Steam
The 25% discount is active until May 28. Simplified Chinese and Catalan added as new languages in Tormenture.
Thanks to major optimization upgrades, performance has increased by up to 300%, offering a significantly smoother experience across all systems. Players can now fully remap inputs for both keyboard/mouse and gamepad, while a newly added zoom feature improves visibility on smaller screens—particularly valuable for Steam Deck, where the game is officially verified.
In addition to technical improvements, the patch includes bug fixes across puzzles, 3D sequences, and other gameplay elements, resulting in a more polished and responsive experience. The update also expands localization support with the addition of Simplified Chinese and Catalan, broadening the game’s reach and accessibility.
The full patch notes are available on the game’s Steam page, where Tormenture is now available at 25% off until May 28.
Tormenture, a cursed game within a game
It’s the early 1980s. After finishing your homework, you power up your Limbo 2800. But something is… different. The game isn’t how you remember it.
Tormenture blurs the line between player and character in a meta-horror narrative where the game itself becomes part of the threat. To survive, you must uncover four cursed relics, solve cryptic puzzles, and confront entities that may no longer be confined to the screen.
A twisted homage to retro gaming, Tormenture combines pixel art, psychological horror, and interactive storytelling across three possible endings—each shaped by your choices, both inside and outside the game.
