Black Banner Studios celebrates its second consecutive Best Foreign Indie Game award at Poznań Game Arena 2026, where attendees experienced a significantly improved playable build featuring large-scale medieval battles and a special appearance by Game of Thrones star Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, known as "The Mountain." The studio also announced worldwide playtest registration, released a new trailer, and confirmed the upcoming conclusion of its original Kickstarter campaign.
Black Banner Studios has opened worldwide playtest registration for Legacy of Valor, its upcoming medieval action-strategy RPG, following its second consecutive Best Foreign Indie Game victory at Poznań Game Arena (PGA) 2026.
WORLDWIDE PLAYTEST REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
Players worldwide can now apply for the opportunity to experience upcoming builds of the game and contribute feedback during development.
Selected participants will be invited in successive testing waves, with access determined by the studio's testing requirements and available capacity.
Registration requires a Legacy of Valor account and a connected Discord account. Applications are reviewed by the studio, and registration does not guarantee immediate access.

BACK-TO-BACK BEST FOREIGN INDIE GAME VICTORY AT POZNAŃ GAME ARENA
Legacy of Valor won Best Foreign Indie Game at Poznań Game Arena 2026, defending the title it earned in 2025. The studio also won Best Indie Booth at PGA 2025.
At this year's event, visitors played an expanded RPG build and watched a separate demonstration of battles featuring thousands of soldiers. Black Banner Studios showcased improvements across combat, animations, character interactions, RPG systems, and strategic gameplay.

GAME OF THRONES STAR HAFÞÓR JÚLÍUS BJÖRNSSON JOINS THE PGA SHOWCASEOne of the highlights of the studio's appearance at PGA 2026 was a special visit from Icelandic actor and world-renowned strongman Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, best known for portraying The Mountain in HBO's Game of Thrones.
Björnsson has officially joined the cast of Legacy of Valor as Vaarg, a formidable character players will encounter during their journey.
On Friday, October 23, Björnsson joined the Black Banner Studios team at Poznań Game Arena, meeting fans and taking part in the game's presentation.
His involvement represents another step in the studio's ambition to deliver memorable characters, cinematic storytelling, and an immersive medieval experience.
Black Banner Studios has announced that Late Pledges for the original Legacy of Valor Kickstarter campaign will soon close permanently.
Following its successful 2025 crowdfunding campaign, the studio continued offering original campaign rewards through Late Pledges. Once the period closes, those rewards will no longer be available through the original Kickstarter campaign.
This is the final opportunity for prospective backers to participate in the original crowdfunding offering. Existing supporters retain their confirmed rewards and entitlements, subject to the campaign's terms.
