The official console version of the international board game hit has been in development courtesy of Dovetail Games, with help from their friends over at Nomad Games. In addition to the two multiplayer game modes, players can take to trading and building with dynamic AI in single player mode, using different tactics and strategies to face characters based on the wider CATAN lore.
There’s still time to join before launch day on Tuesday February 28th. Pre-orders are still available during Early Access, giving players immediate access to the game along with a host of perks including a 10% discount, a custom Dice Skin and a custom Hex Frame in the Deluxe Edition of the game. Deluxe players can also enjoy five game boards featured in previous years’ World, European and American competitions – perfect for those that follow the real-life CATAN World Championships.

Thousands of CATAN fans have been lining up with pre-orders to build and trade in Console Edition and are expected to start playing from 10am GMT, Thursday February 23rd on both PlayStation and Xbox platforms. Variable Play, Quick Play, Online, Couch Multiplayer and Single Player modes offer styles of play for everyone and Cross-play ensures that those from both platforms can play together online.
CATAN – Console Edition releases fully on Tuesday February 28th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X/S consoles.
