Orlando, FL — August 13, 2025 — GCX (Gaming Community Expo), the video game industry’s only vacation-focused gaming event, has announced that its community has raised $589,743 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital so far in 2025. The milestone follows the conclusion of GCX’s annual conference, which returned to Universal Orlando Resort for its 10th anniversary on July 25–26.
Since its inception, the GCX community has now raised over $33 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, cementing its mission that Gaming Does Good.
This year’s celebration brought thousands of gamers, creators, and industry leaders together for two days of hands-on game demos, thought-provoking panels, and unforgettable meet-and-greets with some of gaming’s biggest names. The weekend concluded with an exclusive after-hours celebration at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, giving attendees the chance to connect and unwind in a private park setting.
