GRAVITY CO., Ltd.(“GRAVITY”) is celebrating the first year anniversary of fantasy MMORPG Ragnarok Origin alongside fans. Players can participate in exclusive events and contests as well as explore a new map and two new classes for players to enjoy.
Until December 10th, aspiring songsters will be able to participate in the ‘One Challenge.’ Fans that record and upload their cover of the Ragnarok Origin song “The One” will be entered to win limited-edition gifts. Entrants can upload their covers to the official contest page here. 100 winners will be selected to receive official Ragnarok Origin merchandise including hoodies, stickers, and more. With the deadline to enter fast approaching, fans are encouraged to submit their songs now!
Players celebrating the one-year anniversary of Ragnarok Origin both in-game and out will be able to participate in the Fortune Teller Event until January 31st. Users can participate either in-game or on the official website to get their fortune told by an interactive NPC. Fortunes include finding out what their future holds and their soulmate. After learning their fortune players will be able to choose a soulmate card that will reveal their soulmate as well as a mystery Ragnarok Origin present.
Alongside the anniversary events, players will get to explore the new map Juno and two new classes. Juno, often called the City of Knowledge and Wisdom, is a floating city that sits amongst the clouds and serves as the Headquarters of the Sages.
Players looking to experience the world of Ragnarok Origin from a new perspective can try the new Mage-based classes, Sage and Scholar, each with their own set of spells based on wisdom and moving of the elements.
Sage
Sages have an adept understanding of magic. Their unique skills can force opponents to stop casting or absorb their opponent’s magic and convert it into their own. Sages can even cancel the other’s magic effects and have great skills in physical combat as well.
Scholar
Scholars are known as the transcendence of Sages. When talking to Scholars you'll quickly be able to see that their profound skills are second to none. Scholars can utilize a variety of skills that have strengths in casting and use spells more easily.
