Today, Top Hat Studios, Inc., in partnership with developer Kyle Thompson, announced that the first public demo for Well Dweller is now live on Steam. Announced during the Top Hat Studios Presents: Spring Showcase 2026, the demo offers players their first hands-on experience with this whimsical dark fairy tale Metroidvania, populated with charming characters living in a wretched kingdom. The full version of Well Dweller is set to release in 2026 for PC and Nintendo Switch, as revealed in last year's Nintendo Indie World.
The Well Dweller Steam demo opens with the game’s full opening sequence, along with a selection of major environments and boss encounters. Together, these elements highlight the early chapters of the game’s experience, building towards the pivotal moment when the world opens up and players are granted greater freedom to explore.
