Cataclismo, an RTS from Moonlighter creators, premieres a new trailer as its Kickstarter launches

Support the first self-published game by Digital Sun today and get limited rewards

Take me to Kickstarter!

Valencia, Spain - 10 October 2023 - Digital Sun today launched a Kickstarter campaign for their brand new real-time strategy game Cataclismo. After Moonlighter and The Mageseeker - A League of Legends Story, this will be the first self-published game by the studio, hence why they are asking for fan support during next month.

Watch Cataclismo’s new trailer!

Cataclismo is a gloomy RTS about building strongholds brick by brick and defending against the swarms of horrors emerging from the treacherous mist. Stack pieces together, deploy a wide variety of troops, and make impactful tactical choices to withstand the siege, in a LEGO-meets-They Are Billions action.

During a gripping 30-hour campaign, you will uncover what happened to this rotten land while defending Hogar, the last human city. Or let your fortress design imagination run wild in the Creative Mode, building intricate medieval castles without worrying about the pale, haze-born creatures.

The Moonlighter devs are seeking 50,000 euros (approx. $53,000 USD) in funding for a PC-only release. However, raising a higher amount will allow for the development of additional game modes and exciting features.

To entice backers, Cataclismo’s project page unveils numerous previously unknown details of the game world and mechanics. The campaign also offers backer-exclusive rewards like a golden numbered medallion, a vinyl with the OST, or a 15cm/6” stunning Iris figure.

Cataclismo has an expected release date of Q2 2024 on PC (Steam and GOG). Until then, you can try its demo on Steam, follow Digital Sun on Twitter, or join the Hogardians on Discord.
