Fresh from the extravagance of Las Vegas, this year’s Evolution Championship Series (Evo) 2025 featured a ton of hard-hitting action and electric reveals that have set the stakes for fighting games ever higher, including the debut of undercover agent C. Viper in Street Fighter™ 6, the first-ever look at Outfit 4 in action across seven different characters, and an all-new upcoming Capcom Fighting Collection™ 2 update! Congratulations are also in order for Evo 2025 champions across various pulse-pounding games including, MenaRD who won out in Street Fighter 6 against more than 4,000 other competitors, Khaos (MARVEL™ vs. CAPCOM® 2: New Age of Heroes), and Bas (Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001)!
Ahead of the Street Fighter 6 Top 8 matches, Capcom premiered the teaser trailer for C. Viper, the second character to be released in Year 3, which is available now here on YouTube. Watch as she analyzes M. Bison’s hologram to determine his next move and stop him before he can get any evildoing started.
And before C. Viper uses her secret agent skills to defeat her opponents, players can get their hands (and knees and elbows!) on Sagat, the Emperor or Muay Thai, as he enters the fray staring on Aug. 5 across Nintendo Switch™ 2, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam! Embody Sagat’s fierce tiger spirit as he battles it out on the newest stage, Proud Spire, and dons his new Outfit 1 look, plus his more familiar Outfit 2 inspired by his Street Fighter™ II appearance.
Year 3 Ultimate Pass and Year 3 Character Pass – both of which will unlock Sagat, the three remaining Year 3 characters, including C. Viper, pro wrestler Alex (Early Spring 2026), and the energetic Ingrid (Late Spring 2026), plus new Outfit colors and Drive Tickets – are available now for purchase across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, with both passes available for pre-order on Nintendo Switch 2. Content included in the pass will unlock starting when Sagat releases on August 5, 2025.
And get ready to gear up for summer with the reveal of the gameplay trailer for the swimsuit-themed Outfit 4 costumes across seven Street Fighter 6 characters, including Cammy, Luke, Chun-Li, Manon, Jamie, Kimberly and A.K.I which can be found here on YouTube! These characters’ Outfit 4 will be available at the same time as the Sagat release on Aug. 5!
Finally, during the Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 competition, Capcom announced an upcoming Capcom Fighting Collection 2 update which can be found here on YouTube. Updates for the collection will arrive on Thursday, August 7 and include:
- Here Comes New Challengers to Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER: Four new characters, including fan favorite Ingrid, will be joining the roster, along with new artwork and the ability to enable “Mode Select” in EX settings!
- New Mode for Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein: Players will be able to display plasma combos in training mode!
- New Artwork to Gaze Upon: Check out the flashy new artwork added to the collection’s gallery!
- Bonus tracks for Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 and Power Stone: Listen to additional tracks for these titles!
- Capcom Fighting Collection and Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Soundtracks: Over 100+ combined original soundtracks are available on select digital platforms.
