LONDON–June 15, 2022 Beatstar, the hit rhythm game from mobile game developers and publishers Space Ape Games and winner of Game of the Year at the 2022 Mobile Game Awards, is serving as home to the exclusive debut of “Don’t You Worry,” the new single from the Black Eyed Peas, Shakira and David Guetta beginning today.  Fans can listen to the new collaboration from now until the song’s global launch this Friday, June 17, only by playing Beatstar, which is free to play and available on all iOS and Android devices. While top artists have been dropping their music in Beatstar day and date with their streaming launches – including Camila Cabello and Ed Sheeran with their single “Bam Bam” and the Chainsmokers with their recent album, So Far So Good –  the “Don’t You Worry” exclusive marks the first time that a single set to launch worldwide from globally-recognized pop artists is making its exclusive debut in a game days before anywhere else.

Upon its worldwide release on August 31, 2021, Beatstar reached #1 on the overall charts in 24 countries, the top 10 in 70, and is the top grossing music game globally.  Beatstar song plays are immersive 150-second experiences on average, with players engaging with each song through touch and sound.  With over 30M people having played the game, a high performing new song in Beatstar can achieve up to 1.1M plays in a day, making the game a paramount platform for music discovery.

In Beatstar, players tap and swipe to the instruments, vocals or beats to master their favorite songs.  Players feel every beat pulsing through their fingers as they discover new songs from their favorite artists on a playlist that rivals the ultimate festival lineup.  Artists on Beatstar also include Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, Lil Nas X, Post Malone, Ariana Grande, Coldplay, Tones and I, Muse, Lady Gaga, Marshmello, Mabel, Kygo, Wiz Khalifa, Sia, Pharell Williams, The Black Eyed Peas, Soulja Boy, Rae Sremmurd, Bastille, Royal Blood, Demi Lovato, Disclosure, Erykah Badu, Leikeli47, Babymetal, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, The Kid Laroi, Nicki Minaj and many others.

“Interest in Beatstar has exploded since we started featuring day and date releases of new songs from top artists in the game, and having the ability to play a song in Beatstar even before release on streaming is a game changer all around,” said Simon Hade, co-founder of Space Ape. “Beatstar is a lean-in experience, so players who hear a new song in Beatstar bond with both the artist and the song on a much deeper level than they do while it also gains traction on streaming and radio. Millions of people around the world are now discovering new music this way in our events and I’m awed by the caliber of artists who are up for collaborating with us.  The opportunity to work with Will and the Peas – and the team at Epic Records – is a dream come true.”

Space Ape is majority owned by Clash of Clans, Clash Royale and Brawl Stars creator Supercell, and several of the Supercell team were deeply involved in Beatstar’s development.  The game integrates SupercellID so that players can share their scores and challenge their clanmates from within BeatstarBeatstar also features remixes of theme songs from Supercell games, with more coming soon.
