Al Crepuscolo VR is launching today on itch.io

LUXEMBOURG, November 22, 2022 - We’re FIREFLIES from Luxembourg, and we’ve created Al Crepuscolo VR, a musical relaxing exploration game in virtual reality, featuring beautiful, stylized art and a heart-warming soundtrack for an emotional journey through pristine landscapes.


Paddling your kayak through a peaceful river at dusk, you will explore a magical corner of wildlife to attend an extraordinary musical festival performed by Nature itself.


Al Crepuscolo VR  is designed to calm your busy mind and allow you to take the time to look, listen and feel the miracle of Nature from your own living room. By inviting you to paddle around in a kayak and explore its enchanted world, Al Crepuscolo VR helps you ease daily stress and clear your mind through movements.
Without competitive objectives, you can sit back and enjoy the surroundings, the visuals, and the sounds.


"I wrote the game concept during the lockdowns of 2020. Suddenly we couldn’t go out in nature anymore, so I decided to make a virtual reality game to escape. Being in love with the northern forests and fiords of British Columbia in Canada, I wrote a script that takes the player with their kayak to an imaginary river, surrounded entirely by trees, and inhabited by animals and spirits.” (Jacopo, designer)

Jacopo with his production company recruited a team in Luxembourg and secured a tiny budget for experimental games from the Film Fund Luxembourg and in 2021 the team started developing the game. Jacopo and his production company Fireflies enlisted the services of the Luxembourgish award winning film composer André Dziezuk, who created the poetic soundtrack of the experience.


The game is available now for Oculus Rift/S on itch.io, with a planned distribution for SteamVR coming in 2023.
