[Singapore] – July 24, 2025 – 2K today announced the launch of Season 2 for Civilization: Eras & Allies, arriving on July 24 across Asia on iOS and Android. This major update introduces the long-awaited Modern Era, the all-new Governor System, seven legendary heroes, and the limited-time seasonal event Summerfest, packed with exciting rewards and customization options.
Enter the Modern Era
In Season 2, players will lead their civilization into the Modern Era, unlocking cutting-edge technologies and new unit types such as Helicopters and Mobile SAMs. A new siege weapon, the Hypersonic Missile Launcher, brings devastating firepower to alliance warfare.
Seven Legendary Heroes Join the Battle
Seven new heroes also join the battlefield in Season 2, each bringing iconic leadership and unique abilities to gameplay. These include Napoleon, Queen Elizabeth I, Sanada Yukimura, Ryu Seong-ryong, Cyrus the Great, Nebuchadnezzar, and Queen Gudit. Players can recruit these heroes to enhance their tactical options and rewrite the course of history.
All-New Governor System
Players can now manage occupied cities through the Governor System, appointing alliance members to oversee city-state development. Governors can construct special buildings, invite up to 30 citizens, and unlock powerful buffs through collaborative progress, empowering alliances to grow stronger together.
Triumph Shop Expansion
Players can now earn and exchange rewards through an expanded Triumph Shop, featuring limited-time items such as Avatars, Avatar Frames, Chat Bubble Frames, and the all-new Envoy item for deeper customization.
Celebrate Summer with Exclusive Events
To mark the launch of Season 2, Summerfest brings sun-soaked fun from July 24 to August 13.

The 7-Day Login Event (July 24 to August 13) gives players rewards just for logging in, including but not limited to Recruit Tokens, Gold, and City Blueprints.

Festive Cheers allows players to earn Gold daily by greeting others in World Chat.
