Would you like to live the life of a famous Hollywood director and create your own blockbuster movie? How about acting in your own Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Avengers or Terminator?
Now you can.
Karma Play is pleased to announce Hollywood Director The Simulation®, the complete Hollywood movie production simulator.
SET DESIGN
Start by selecting your ideal movie location from dozens of pre-built virtual sets such as apartments, offices, warehouses, bars, restaurants Wild West saloons, space stations or cyberpunk cities.
Customise these sets by deleting or adding objects from hundreds of high-quality 3D models in the game library. Perfectionist players can repaint every model using their own chosen texture or material. Gamers can also build custom lanscapes with sprawling cities, canyons, deserts, flowing rivers, trees, bushes and fauna.
CASTING AND COSTUMES
Would you like to act in your own blockbuster movie? In Hollywood Director The Simulation, players can do exactly that by adding their own faces to the characters from a single selfie. After that, you can further customise your character by tweaking skin colour, eye colour, height, body shape and hair style.
Choose your characters’ attire from hundreds of costume prefabs such as shoes, skirts, bikins, frocks, trousers, blouses, kimonos or saris. Gamers can also choose from hundreds of pre-built character models including demons, space marines and zombies.
CAMERA AND LENSES
Take complete control of the camera using Hollywood standard techniques such as pan, track, tilt, zoom and Steadicam. Add camera effects such as camera shake, soft focus, focus pull, depth of field, chromatic aberration, lens distortion and motion blur.
Are you planning an epic like Lawrence of Arabia or an intimate romance like Casablanca?
Select the correct lenses for each movie genre from Hollywood standard Cooke Prime lenses (12mm to 180mm), aspect ratios (4:3, 1.66:1, 16:9, 1.85:1, 2.39:1 or 2:75:1) and aperture/F-Stop settings from f1.4 to f/22.0.
LIGHTING
Film critics and movie directors agree that lighting is critical to setting the mood for a movie. In Hollywood Director The Simulation, gamers can choose from dozens of lighting prefabs suitable for any movie genre such as a romantic comedy, a superhero action adventure, a Wild West epic, a musical or a horror movie.
Movie lighting afficianados can create their own custom lighting prefabs by tweaking the advanced lighting values such as intensity, fade off distance, gamma and colour.
ANIMATIONS AND SOUND
Do you think you are as great an actor as Marlon Brando or Kate Winslet? This is your moment to get that Oscar.
Bring your characters to life using hundreds of animations in the game’s library. Do you think you are the next James Earl Jones? Prove it by recording your own dialogue audio and lipsyncing it to your characters.
Create a full surround soundscape by adding sound effects to any object or animation. Tweak the volume, pitch and reverb of each sound effect.
VISUAL EFFECTS
Bring your blockbuster to life by adding stunning VFX such as explosions, lasers or superhero-style magic spells. Add dynamic physics-based effects such as destruction, fragmentation or nature effects such as fog, rain, snow, tsunamis and blizzards.
EDITING
After your blockbuster is ready, create Hollywood-style opening and closing title sequences directly inside the game. Render your final movie in any resolution for any format from mobile phones to giant IMAX screens.
MODDING
After the game’s initial release, Karma Play will be releasing a modding SDK for the community. Players can create their own mods with customised sets, characters, lighting, audio and visual effects to share with other community members. This can be done directly from within the game.
