Sao Paulo, Brazil - November 5th, 2021 - Ninja Garage is excited to announce that The Cabbage Effect, a cartoon-pop-surrealistic twin-stick shooter in procedurally generated stages, adopts a Spring 2022 release window and it will be coming to Nintendo Switch and PC.
In The Cabbage Effect, the planet is invaded by complex and strange creatures and, during the attack, the planet is protected by a small team with their bizarre vehicles and gadgets. You will find fast-paced shooting action, unlockable characters along the story, allies, a variety of absurd weapons and vehicles. Pick up objects, throw them to the opponents, explode things and deal with this chaotic situation. Find yourself surrounded by an experimental psychotronic narrative that explores aesthetic elements of non-verbal storytelling and communication noise, mixing 2d and 3d visuals in a crazy world.
Developed and self-published by Ninja Garage, The Cabbage Effect, mixes some inspirations from midnight movies, VHS action films, retrofuturism, 80's cartoons, pop surrealism and classic games like Smash TV and Toejam and Earl, and the weird atmosphere and easy-to-learn controls of 90's arcade games.
