Barcelona, Spain - September 10, 2026 - Epictellers Entertainment today launched the first public demo for Starfinder: Afterlight ahead of the upcoming Steam Party-Based RPG Fest 2026. Players can now get a first look at the sci-fi RPG set to launch in Early Access later this year. The title has surpassed 100 000 wishlists on Steam.
The demo opens with an introduction cinematic and lets players choose one of three pre-generated playable character classes: Soldier, Envoy, or Operative, each with the full set of Level 1 skills. It continues into the prologue, the narrative tutorial aboard the Moon of Misfortune spaceship, where players will meet Kole for the first time. Then, the story moves to the Entertainment District of Hivemarket on Akiton. There, players will meet companions Preach (a Shirren Mystic) and Sterling (a Human borai Solarian), gather information on the ship captain gone missing, and fight off a band of cultists.
Since April's playtest, Epictellers Entertainment has incorporated community feedback, with improvements including improved camera, a refreshed hotbar, a first version of the quest log, and key mappings. The team is also working on the character creator that will allow players to create and customize their own protagonist. This feature will be available in Early Access launch.
Starfinder: Afterlight is a party-based CRPG that brings Paizo's science-fantasy universe to life. Players will recruit a diverse cast of companions and travel across the Pact Worlds. The voice cast includes Neil Newbon (Preach), Roger Clark (Narrator), Fred Tatasciore (Kole), Inel Tomlinson (Tycho), Melissa Medina (LU-323), James Alexander (Sterling), Carolina Ravassa (Captain Khali), and Chris Tester (Minister of Flesh), among others.
