R.A.I.D. Opens Meta Quest Pre-Orders With New Gameplay Trailer

The co-op VR roguelite FPS is coming to Meta Quest later this year, with exclusive Platinum Gun Skins available for those who pre-order

LEIPZIG, GERMANY - August 27, 2026 - FusionPlay and Impact Inked are bringing R.A.I.D. to Gamescom 2026, where the co-op VR roguelite FPS will be playable at the FusionPlay booth from August 26-30. The appearance follows the debut of a new gameplay trailer during the VR Games Showcase earlier this month, which revealed that R.A.I.D. is now available for pre-order on Meta Quest 3, 3S, 2 and Pro ahead of its launch later this year.

Players who pre-order R.A.I.D. on Meta Quest will receive a collection of exclusive Platinum Gun Skins when the game launches. R.A.I.D. can also be wishlisted now on Steam.

Earth orbit has a smuggling problem.

R.A.I.D. casts players as ESF Agents responsible for keeping interstellar contraband from reaching Earth. Each shift begins at an orbital customs outpost, where incoming cargo ships line up for inspection. Players scan vessels, review cargo manifests, assess threat levels, and decide which ships are cleared for passage and which ones need to be pulled aside.

When a ship is flagged for interception, the job changes fast. Players board hostile spacecraft, fight through procedurally generated interiors, secure contraband, and return to the station with whatever they managed to confiscate. Each run asks players to balance protocol, profit, health, ammo, and risk, creating a loop where the safest legal choice is not always the most rewarding one.

R.A.I.D. can be played solo or with up to four players in online co-op. Teams can coordinate inspections, secure suspicious vessels, and fight off hostile smugglers together as each shift introduces new ship layouts, cargo, color schemes, enemy threats, and tactical surprises.

The arsenal is built with the same mix of danger and absurdity. Players can unlock ten unique weapons, each with its own playstyle, then spend earned credits on upgrades that expand their capabilities. Launch explosive alien potatoes with the Alien Potato Launcher, weave laser grids with the Slicer Dicer, create miniature black holes with the Butterfly’s implosion rounds, unleash self-targeting lightning with the Buzzer, or clean up the smuggling problem with the Death Ray.

Promotions and upgrades add new reasons to clock in for another shift. Players can improve their favorite weapons with scopes, explosive ammunition, cluster munitions, and other milestone abilities while climbing the ranks of the orbital customs organization.

Report for Duty With

  • Inspect Interstellar Cargo - Scan incoming vessels, review manifests, identify illegal goods, assess threat levels, and decide which ships are cleared for Earth and which need a closer look.
  • Turn Inspections Into Boarding Actions - Intercept suspicious ships and fight through their interiors, clearing hostile smugglers and alien threats before confiscating contraband and collecting whatever rewards survive the firefight.
  • Make Protocol Pay, or Make Your Own Rules - Weigh fines, danger, health, ammo, cargo value, and potential rewards when deciding which ships to stop and which ones to let through. Following procedure advances your career, while bending the rules can put more credits in your pocket.
  • Work the Shift Solo or With a Crew - Play alone or team up with up to four players online to coordinate inspections, secure vessels, and handle combat together.
  • Never Inspect the Same Shift Twice - Procedurally generated ship interiors, room layouts, cargo, threat levels, and color schemes continually change the situations waiting on the other side of an interception.
  • Build an Arsenal Worth Confiscating - Unlock ten distinct weapons, including the explosive Alien Potato Launcher, laser-grid-spinning Slicer Dicer, black-hole-generating Butterfly, lightning-firing Buzzer, and high-powered Death Ray.
  • Turn Credits Into Firepower - Upgrade weapons between shifts with increased capabilities and new features including scopes, explosive ammunition, cluster munitions, implosion rounds, and other milestone abilities while climbing the ranks as an ESF Agent.
  • Play VR on Your Terms - Physical controls, weapon-mounted information, wrist-based systems, and other diegetic interactions keep the interface inside the world, while optional artificial locomotion allows the entire game to be played without smooth movement.

Built from the ground up for VR, R.A.I.D. uses physical interaction and diegetic systems to keep players grounded inside its sci-fi world. Health information, ammo displays, control terminals, inspection tools, and combat interactions are placed inside the environment, while artificial locomotion remains optional. Players can experience the full game without smooth locomotion, offering a comfortable alternative without taking the teeth out of the firefights.
