Graz, Austria – January 15, 2026 – Pale Coins, the hand-pixeled soulslike action RPG from developer Lukas Irzl, receives its first major post-launch v1.1 update titled Call of the Swamp. Launching today it introduces new content, mechanics, and improvements shaped by player feedback since release.

Call of the Swamp expands Grenmark with new enemies, a new swamp-based challenge, and additional gameplay systems that deepen progression and customization. This update represents the next phase of development following launch, and serves as the first step in a wider 2026 content roadmap.
Key additions in v1.1 include:
- The Swamp – New enemies and a new challenge within the swamp
- Cooking System – Grab a pan, light a campfire, and cook different meals
- Item Collection – Find and collect items in the new collection in the Capital
- Loot Filter – Specify which items you want to see and hide the rest
- Local Storage – New chests where you can store your important items
- New Items – Several new items for high-level characters
- New Prefixes and Suffixes – Increase item and build variety
- New Enchantments – More ways to improve your gear
Version 1.1 is available as a free update for all players.

ABOUT PALE COINS
Pale Coins is an Action RPG set in the open-world Grenmark, blending an old-school fantasy adventure with modern gameplay design. Players will face bosses, brave goblin-infested dungeons, and discover legendary weapons as they customize their characters in search of the fabled Champion's Coin.

Lukas Irzl is the solo creator of Pale Coins, a pixel art action RPG shaped by a lifelong habit of imagining fantasy worlds. He began making games in school with RPG Maker, then refined his eye through years of pixel art practice and, more recently, studies in fine art and painting. His inspirations include Dark Souls, Gothic, and Diablo II, reflected in his game design that prizes exploration and open world environments.
