Sailing past the funding target of £36,000 ($44,000), the Kickstarter campaign has now unlocked several stretch goals for players to enjoy when Out and About releases in Q1 2024. Including Cottagecore outfits, a photo mode, and a music player to enjoy while foraging the wilderness.
Out and About is a wholesome game that looks to bring the outdoors inside. Explore vibrant biomes and befriend characters inspired by real-world influencers from the foraging world. Connect with nature by foraging, gardening, crafting, and cooking, then try out your new skills in the real world!
Every recipe discovered in Out And About uses the same ingredients and resources as it would in the real world. The step-by-step methods not only add gameplay mechanics but also replicate the steps from the real world. The wide range of plants and fungi you’ll discover all come with factual cards, allowing you to learn the skill in-game and then practice it in real life.
Unlocking a plant or recipe inside the game will enable players to access real information, identifiers, and step-by-step recipes via Out And About’s companion website. Accessible through PC and mobile, the companion website enables players to learn and recreate experiences from the game in real life!
Out and About will be released on PC via Steam Early Access and Epic Game Store in Q1 2024. A customisation demo is currently available via the Steam game store.
