Enter the multiverse with Necesse’s world-hopping multiplayer update

The open world survival craft game gets new multiplayer features and lots of content for solo players

December 11, 2023 - Hooded Horse is excited to share the latest from Necesse, developer Fair Games’ popular open world survival craft game where players build, quest, and conquer their way across an infinite procedurally-generated world. Featuring major new features for both multiplayer and singleplayer, as well as a 50% off sale featured on the front page of Steam, Necesse is ending the year in style!

Pack a bag and take a trip through the “Necesseverse” as the next evolution to Necesse’s multiplayer arrives. Player characters are now detached from the worlds they start in, and can travel to other players’ worlds, bringing with them whatever is in their inventory (and keeping whatever they find while roaming!). This means players don’t have to create new characters just to party up with a friend who happened to start their own save, and communities can create communal servers without locking the characters within.

Solo players get plenty of love as well, including a new survival mode that comes with food spoilage. There is also a refined system for asking NPCs to join player parties, a reworked endgame, and snowballs! This update comes with a new biome featuring boss monsters and loot, as well as more fine-tuned difficulty options. Finally, there’s the usual round of bug fixes, tweaks, and new optimizations. You can read the full patch notes
here.

Last but not least, Christmas is coming early, as Necesse will be available to purchase at a 50% discount featured on the front page of Steam starting today. This low price will continue through the Winter Sale and into next year, with the half-price offer ending on January 4, 2024.

Necesse is out now on PC via Steam Early Access for $9.99 / £8.99 / €9.99 / ¥1,240. A press kit is available.
