August 22, 2023 - NEBULOUS: Fleet Command – the tactical space strategy game from Hooded Horse and Eridanus Industries – is celebrating a new milestone in its sweeping advance through early access. The “Minor Missile” update overhauls several types of warheads, coupled with a new low discount of 30% off the base price for the next couple of weeks.
The new update adds the ability to fire a mixture of different missile types in the same salvo, which builds on features first introduced in the Modular Missile update released a year ago. This allows you to create more specialized payloads across your fleet so they can work in tandem, and the payloads themselves are cheaper to put together.
Stats for Torpedoes and Interceptor missiles have also been given a rework, with the latter receiving new criteria for kill probability which allows for more intuitive payloads. Ships with active communications will coordinate interceptor use between them and only fire from one vessel, reducing wasted missiles.
The Alliance’s R&D department has also deployed new technology to assist the fleet in its fight against the recently introduced Protectorate faction. A new “Deception Module” will offer Alliance ships the same capabilities as the Protectorate decoy missiles, and Alliance Battleships and Heavy Cruisers get buffs to durability and repairability, along with better 450mm cannons.
