Mage Food Truck, a fantasy deckbuilding game releasing later this year, has a demo live right now for Steam Next Fest: June Edition's press preview! Use your growing card collection to brave a hangry realm, crafting exotic meals in the face of fantastical beasts and curses from dissatisfied customers.
This demo gives access to the first 3 “Snack” scenarios (~1-2 hours of play), featuring gameplay with the Explorer, Chef, and Mage characters. The Bard insisted he does not perform for free.
The full version of the game includes two longer, replayable “Entrée” scenarios with the Bard, who upgrades crew members to unlock the game’s most powerful cards. A Scoville menu is also included for the entrées, where you can turn up the heat with challenges like reduced shields and stronger curses. Cranking up your Scoville adds a multiplier to boost your highscore.
Gameplay
Mage Food Truck is a single player roguelike deckbuilder. Play hands from a growing card collection to traverse the realm, collect ingredients, craft recipes, and cash them in for gold! When the day is done (or your truck is wrecked by monsters), your customers pass judgment upon you with a review of 0-3 stars.
