Unveiled during the Evercade Showcase, celebrating the last five years of Evercade, were five new cartridge collections and a brand new Evercade Alpha with built-in games from Taito.
These new cartridges represent Evercade’s ever-growing Arcade lineup by bringing incredible titles from over five decades of gaming to the Evercade cartridge ecosystem, as well as solidifying the commitment to fun and innovative modern-retro indie games, and exciting hardware.
The Evercade Alpha Taito Bartop Arcade is the next version of the award-winning bartop arcade machine. Much like its Capcom counterparts, the arcade machine allows you to change the game with dual Evercade cartridge slots, and support for local 2P multiplayer, swappable marquees, competition-grade arcade controls, built-in stereo speakers, an 8” high-resolution IPS screen, and all in an officially licensed Taito design with 10 built-in games from Taito.
The Evercade Alpha Taito Bartop Arcadewill be available at a special pre-order price of £199.99, €229.99 and $259.99 and will be available to pre-order from May 30, 2025 from Evercade retailers. Upon release in November 2025, the price will return to the standard £229.99, €249.99, and $279.99 SRP.

Roguecraft DX is a new Amiga game from Badger Punch Games and the next single-game cartridge release from Evercade. This new version of the popular modern-retro indie roguelike features new levels, new monsters, new music, power-ups, and more, exclusive to this current Evercade release. This new collection will release as part of our blue-coloured Home Computer line and will be collection #9.
This cartridge will be available to pre-order from May 30, 2025 and will release in August 2025, alongside NEOGEO Arcade 1.

Evercade was first released in 2020 as a handheld device with ten gaming cartridges of classic console licenses. Since then, it has grown to several other hardware devices (listed below) and now has over 60 physical cartridge collections and more than 600 games across the entire ecosystem.
The Evercade EXP-R handheld gaming system is available globally and includes the Tomb Raider Collection 1 cartridge.
The Evercade VS-R home console system is currently available worldwide from Amazon and other local retailers. It includes the Tomb Raider Collection 1 cartridge.
The Evercade Alpha bartop arcade systems are available globally, and each come with 6 built-in Capcom games and competition-grade arcade controls, plus full compatibility with all Evercade cartridges.
Evercade devices play games via emulation on bespoke cartridges. These physical releases come in a classic clamshell case with a full-colour manual, custom written by Blaze with controls, hints and tips, and interesting facts about the titles and developers.
Evercade emulates a wide range of systems (including 8, 16, 32 and 64-bit console, handhelds, THEC64 and Amiga home computers, plus arcade games), as well as natively run games. It also highlights modern retro games created by indie developers, with support for five decades of gaming.
Evercade cartridges have three distinct colour schemes to highlight their content. Red-coloured boxes feature home console collections from multiple systems across five decades of gaming. Purple indicates Arcade game collections, and Blue is for home computer collections.
In 2023, Blaze Entertainment launched its new brand HyperMegaTech! to provide more retro gaming products aimed at a more casual market. Its first four products, the Super Pocket handheld gaming devices, also come with Evercade cartridge compatibility.

About Badger Punch Games
Badger Punch Games was founded by Ricki Sickenger and Henning Ludvigsen, originally back in 2011.
Both Ricki and Henning are Norwegian game developer veterans and have worked and had fun together since they met in the Amiga Demo scene way back in 1993. Now they are creating games they love for the retro platforms they grew up with, like the Commodore 64 and Amiga line of computers.
