Asheville, North Carolina, USA - Krystone Games and Human Qube are excited to announce the upcoming Steam playtest for Eldritch Escape, launching May 22. Starting Today, players can request access to join the playtest on Steam.
Eldritch Escape is about a realm that has been consumed by an ancient eldritch god. Players must form a squad of survivors to explore decaying worlds trapped within the void. Surviving the horde is just one of your concerns, you also have to navigate a tangled web of portals while managing a limited oxygen supply, and find a way out before the void claims you forever.
Beneath the chaotic combat is a layer of squad management and tactical depth. Choose three survivors from a growing roster, promote a leader to unlock game-changing abilities, and decide when to push deeper for and when to retreat. There are a lot of dangers lurking in the void. If you fall, your loot stays behind, waiting for you to retrieve it once you muster a force powerful enough to get back.

The Eldritch Escape Open Playtest offers a substantial slice of the core experience. Players will dive into 20-minute expeditions featuring multiple heroes, the game’s full suite of core mechanics, and a meta-progression layer that carries forward as you experiment, learn, and push deeper across hand-crafted worlds ruled by Great Old Ones.

Extraction: Retreat to the settlement with your loot, or risk losing it all. If you die, you’ll have to retrieve your dropped loot on your next run—or it’s gone forever!
