Strange Horizons takes players on a thrilling journey into the unknown. Set in a world where science and the supernatural collide, the story revolves around Dr. Eleanor Thompson, a brilliant scientist working for the Institute of Quantum Physics Research. Using her groundbreaking invention, the "Dimensional Resonator," Dr. Thompson discovers a way to open a portal to the "World of Light," a realm where humans are believed to go after death. However, her research leads to a catastrophic event when creatures from another dimension invade our world.
Players assume the role of a civilian contractor hired by the military to venture into the quarantine zone surrounding the portal. Their mission: recover crucial information, rescue trapped civilians, and find a way to close the portal before it's too late.
