August 17th, 2023 – Shanghai, China - Naval Shoot’ Em up mobile game, Azur Lane held its 5th Anniversary Livestream on August 13th, with an update of its latest event, “The Fool's Scales”. 6 New characters, 10 new skins, Yorktown Oath skin, furniture sets, and multiple rewards will be released in the new event. A special offline celebration event at the USS Hornet Museum was also successfully held on August 13th. Also, a new soundtrack “Ain't Backing Down” by LIZ has debuted, accompanied by an engaging anime music video.

5th Anniversary Celebration with the USS Hornet Museum
Azur Lane set the tone of “Our Story Our Voyage” for this anniversary, with the game deciding to hold the party at the USS Hornet Museum to appreciate the five years of shared voyages and evoke the offline memories from where the journey began with Commanders in the first year. At this unique and commemorative location, exclusive celebrations dedicated to Commanders were arranged, including 2 well-designed Itasha cars displays, a cosplay show with more than 20 cosplayers, a DJ performance and other special events, delivering Commanders an immersive celebration vibe. Together, Azur Lane and the Commanders shared their hopes in creating everlasting memories that will continue to grow for many more years to come.
About “The Fool's Scales” and 6 New Shipgirls
The “The Fool's Scales” event runs from August 17th to August 30th, 2023.
The event gathers shipgirls from Iris Libre and Vichya Dominion, rendezvous-ing with Commanders and weaving the story of their future days together.

Drawing inspiration from elegant palace dress designs, five dedicated new shipgirls are set to make waves in the Construction Pool. Four of the standout shipgirls include the Super Rare Battleship Clemenceau, the Super Rare Light Cruiser Guichen, the Elite Battleship Lyon, and the Elite Heavy Cruiser Suffren, are now enjoying a rate-up in this limited Construction Pool. Commanders have an opportunity to score the Super Rare Aircraft Carrier Painlevé either through construction or by venturing out to the event stage for an exchange. Furthermore, the new Elite Destroyer Kersaint and a brand-new gear, the "Triple 152mm Mle 1930 Main Gun Mount T0," are available for redemption as rewards for clearing event stages.
An exciting addition of Fate Simulation for Chkalov, Prinz Rupprecht, and Harbin awaits Commanders, bringing Commanders stronger PR ships and various equipment to strengthen their formations. Additionally, a Retrofit shipgirl, West Virginia, is made permanent in this update, further helping Commanders to power up their fleet.
