Irvine, California – April 14, 2021 – Joycity is kicking off a new season of content with ‘Rank 3X3 2021 Spring Season’. Operating outside the competitive 3v3 box, the ‘Rank 3X3’ feature delivers literal head-to-head competition via a raw, stripped-down, skill-based playing field. The mode excludes all stat-enhancing buff items and sends your characters onto the court armed only with the characters’ abilities and players’ skills to attain courtside B-Ball results. For the new season, cross-play is enabled for the first time, allowing both PC and console players to compete in the new mode. A new, universal speed buff is applied to all characters in the new Rank 3X3 mode, setting the stage for some exciting, fast-paced, and dynamic matches. Joycity expects competition to be as fierce as ever with ‘Rank 3X3’ with the full cross-platform, Cross-Play support.
At the end of the season, players will be rewarded based on their final ranks. Top players will receive a Season-Exclusive Tunic Outfit and Crown Accessory. Rank 3X3 will only be the first of a number of expanded content updates, spanning all platforms. Future events will be designed with similar goals in mind; content that players will be able to enjoy together wherever 3on3 FreeStyle is available.
Coming May 2021, the “Cross-Platform Online Crew Tournament” erupts onto the competitive scene. Joycity will be hosting both PC and console players for an all-out tournament. Registration is now open, and competitors will be accepted until April 25th PDT. Crews from around the world looking to test their skills for the ultimate street basketball crown will be front-and-center. The crew tournament is a player-focused, massively requested event inspired by players, and something Joycity is very happy to finally be able to host.
