The Final Trio of Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity Elite Specializations Unveiled

Experimental Science, a Legend from the Past, and the Elements of the Natural World Bring New Options for Players

Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity, the next expansion for the critically acclaimed MMORPG, will offer a new elite specialization for each of the game’s nine professions. These new skills and gameplay mechanics give players a multitude of new options for how to build their characters in accordance with their preferred gameplay style. Today ArenaNet revealed the final three new archetypes: the Conduit, Evoker, and Amalgam:

Conduit (Revenant)A person with a mask and a circle of fire

Channeling the power of the mysterious legend Razah, a being born of the Mists, the Conduit will gain the ability to use Cosmic Wisdom, changing Razah’s forms. Each form will grant boons to the Conduit and/or debilitating effects on enemies, and by using legendary skills to build the Conduit’s Affinity resource, they can increase the duration of Coswmic Wisdom.

Evoker (Elementalist)A person holding a staff and a pig
AI-generated content may be incorrect.

Drawing upon the forces of the natural world, the Evoker chooses a specialized element that will affect their traits and utility skills while reducing recharge time for the attunement skill of that element. The Evoker can then use that choice to call forth various elemental animal spirits: the fox, the otter, the hare, or the toad; these familiars bring their own skills, and once used three times, unlock their empowered skill.

Amalgam (Engineer)A cartoon of a person in a garment
AI-generated content may be incorrect.

The product of asuran science experiments with ooze, the Amalgam shares a symbiotic bond with its subject, melding into various forms to best suit the challenge at hand. Amalgams replace the normal engineer utility abilities with the power to morph. Depending on which form they morph into, the Amalgam has access to a wide variety of boons, buffs, and control effects in combat.

The latest trailer showcasing gameplay of their new abilities can be found here. On Friday, August 8 at 12 PM PT, the Guild Wars 2 development team will host a livestream on Twitch with more information and gameplay. For additional information, check out the blog. A beta for players to try out and give feedback on all nine elite specializations will begin later this summer.
