LOS ANGELES – AUGUST 18, 2022 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality mobile games, has released the first update for its new merge casual mobile title, Merge Kuya Island. Players can experience a new island, gameplay, Kuya, resources, events, and more.
In this new update, players can visit the Volcanic Island and experience a new mode that is separate from the regular merge-type gameplay. A new resource called ‘Brick Furnace’ allows players to bake food resources and make Energy Pie that can be used in Adventure mode. Players can also hatch Noms via Noms Nest to obtain a LV.1 Kuya.
Additional updates include 4 new Kuya: Carrot Kuya, Lily Kuya, Lemon Kuya, and Guava Kuya. Twelve new resources and 3 new Ruins have been added as well. Max level has been raised from LV.108 to LV.200 while new Main and Daily Errands have been updated.
Players can participate in several limited-time event and ongoing event to fully enjoy this update and receive special rewards at the same time.
- Hot Time Event (August 20 – September 18): Players can enjoy hot time event every weekend until September 19, and in celebration of the update, players can receive Star Candy that fall from the sky from August 20 to August 21.
- Players also can enjoy ongoing mission events in accordance with their level. Those who achieve LV.10 can participate in Kuya Family Photo Shoot! event. Once they collect Kuya for a mission, they can earn 1,000 Gem. Also, those who achieve LV. 65 will have a chance to collect resources and Kuya to participate in Beach Photo Shoot! event and earn 900 Gem.
Merge Kuya Island is a merge genre game based on Netmarble’s own IP Kuya, featuring fun gameplay mechanics and cute animations. Players can create and grow their own islands by collecting resources with Kuya and combining 3 objects to create new items. Players will encounter various missions on Main and Adventure Islands. Adventure mode consists of challenging stages such as the time attack stage, which offers exciting problem solving puzzles. Exclusive resources will only be available in this mode that will give players new ways to enjoy the game.
