Gaming market feedback platform G.Round surpasses 170,000 users

Community-based tool helps developers polish their games based on real-time feedback

LOS ANGELES - July 29, 2021
- Global game company GXC has announced its community-based feedback platform G.Round has officially surpassed 170,000 users. G.Round helps developers refine their projects using real-time gamer feedback and analysis such as reviews, surveys, and market testing from around the world. The milestone comes after GXC recently announced it secured a $4.73 million Series A round to further expand and globalize its services.

G.Round has users, both developers and gamers, across over 240 regions since its alpha launch in July 2020. The platform assists developers with improving the development process of their projects before launch, target global markets using valuable test data, and helps studios get publisher and investor interest. So far, 106 game projects have been tested globally through G.Round.

G.Round allows developers to:

  • Allow real gamers to test their prototypes and demos

  • Collect user data to secure publisher and investor interest

  • Gather insight to understand target customers and markets

  • Gain influencer exposure and feedback about their product

Over the past few months, G.Round has made strides towards becoming a more prominent market feedback ecosystem. Most notably, it launched G.Points, an in-platform currency where users can earn points for their production such as reviewing games, taking surveys, and engaging with developers’ projects. In return, G.Points can be redeemed towards real-world items such as gaming accessories, branded merchandise and digital goods. This reward system is designed to entice more engagement and activity from G.Round users.

“In today’s gaming industry, market data and feedback is so valuable to developers. It saves them time, money, and allows them to focus on what’s important to gamers,” said Pontus Mahler, director of business development at G.Round. “We’re aiming to globalize market feedback for developers so it’s a standard and staple of their development process.”

Many brands have seen tremendous success on G.Round’s platform and deliver incredible projects. One example is the fast-paced parkour shooter BulletVille by indie developer NOWWA. Using the platform’s market testing and insights tools, the developers were able to receive valuable feedback from players, seeing more than 20,000 unique visitors to the game page and nearly 10,000 downloads. This resulted in BulletVille being able to secure $100,000 in Kickstarter funding.

“G.Round was of great help to us. We chose them initially just to make our life easier around the organization and marketing of our first crowdfunding campaign and to have less distraction from the actual game development,” said Tim Brackrock, managing director of NOWWA. “What turned out to be a really great tool was the G.Round launcher which worked very smoothly and the user data we received was very valuable, by the aggregated numbers as well as by detailed feedback by single players.”

“The G.Round play-test provided invaluable insights to improve the game early in development and the results took us over the finish line to close the AAA publishing deal we just signed for Stray Blade. Looking forward to future test runs.” said Leonard, CEO of Point Blank Games
